MY H&M OOTN FEAT. THIGH-HIGH BOOTS!!

My H&M OOTN

Hello girls,
I don't know about you, but since my old thigh-high boots broke, I had been hopelessly looking for a new pair For. Ever.

I understand it's not exactly the same as a search for bread, but why should they be so hard to find???
Hello, what else on Earth are shoe designers busy designing, slippers?? Socks???

So I literally shed tears of joy when I saw The. Perfect. thigh-high boots in an email from my beloved H&M.

I immediately started calling all the H&M stores within a 2-hour flight time to ask if these boots were already available in-store, but they all said no, and they also said they didn't know IF they would ever receive this specific item.

OH NO!

So I emailed the customer service to ask them in which stores within the Milky Way they were going to send the boots so that I could go get them, but OH NO!, they confirmed that they didn't know, AND they didn't even know IF these boots would ever make it to a store or if they would only be available online.

So yeah, the picture above clearly tells you what happened then, I made my online order haha!!
And while I was at it I added a couple mo' pieces that I had previously missed in-store, this gorgeous dress included *_*

In the links below you can see better what the dress and the boots look like, and if you like them, hopefully they are available in your country too ^_^

You will see that this dress is paired with these boots on the H&M website too ^_^

Grey chiffon dress: H&M UK - H&M USA - H&M France - H&M Deutschland - H&M Danmark - H&M Nederland - H&M Sverige

Have a beautiful evening <3

METAL BLACK DAHLIAIN' IN MOSCOW

Metal Black Dahlia OCC Lip Tar

In my Autumn Tag post (here The Autumn Tag ) I said that berry lips are my favourite make up look for autumn.
So here I will show you my latest berry crush, which I first wore in Moscow recently, OCC Lip Tar in Metal Black Dahlia!!
OCC Lip Tar in Metal Black Dahlia

It is a stunning blackened berry shade with red shimmer. It is the same pigment as their iconic Black Dahlia lip tar, only with the added pearl to give it a metallic finish.

It is as opaque as only Lip Tars can be. Just a small dot of product on the back of your hand will be enough for your entire lips.
I applied it with the small brush that comes with it. Unlike some brushes or applicators that sometimes come with products, this one is actually a good little brush.
As you start applying it on your lips it might appear a little uneven or gritty, but the final result is just as flawless as it looks in the pictures!
It has a tendency to bleed, so I contoured my lips with Mac Burgundy lip pencil.

And once it's on, it's ON!! Again, it is as longlasting as only Lip Tars can be.
And when I removed it before going to bed it left a bright fuchsia stain, I looked like I was still wearing lipstick! :-D
So I guess it's not a product for the indecisive, I mean, once you decide to wear it you can't change your mind anymore haha!! ^_^

Moscow MOTD

The other make up products I was wearing are:

L'Oreal Lumi Magique (True Match Lumi) foundation in DW3 Gold Linen, applied with my Real Techniques stippling brush
Mac Pro Longwear concealer in NC30
Clinique Line Smoothing concealer in 02 Light
The black shade from Kiko Street Glam palette 01
Kiko Skinny Fit Kajal 06 (black)
Kiko False Lashes Concentrate Building Base mascara
L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara
my infamous fake eyelashes from Tokyo

and if any of you right now are thinking "Were all these lash products necessary? :-/" the answer is YES!!!!!!
hahaha you know me ^_^

Nars Orgasm blush
Nars Laguna bronzer

My dress was from H&M (H&M UK - H&M France - H&M Deutschland - H&M Italia - H&M Danmark - H&M Nederland - H&M Sverige), with a black cotton cardigan from H&M too on top.

I hope you enjoyed my post :)

A DAY IN THE CITY OF BLINDING LIGHTS

Eiffel Tower

Hello beautiful girls!!
This post is very special to me, because I am going to share with you my pictures from a beautiful day I spent in Paris *_*
And there will be a surprise at the end!!

Louvre Museum

The locations don't need an explanation, words wouldn't do them justice :)
I had already been many times in all of these places, but a city like Paris, you can never go enough times.
Each time, Paris will cast a new spell on you.

MY OUTFIT:
Dress from H&MH&M France - H&M Italia - H&M España
Bag from Fendi
Shoes are Kathryn sandals from Aldo, you can see them up close here My Boho Glam OOTD Wearing Gisele's Dress

Moulin Rouge

MY MAKE UP:
L'Oreal Lumi Magique (True Match Lumi) foundation in DW3 Gold Linen, applied with my Real Techniques stippling brush
Mac Pro Longwear concealer in NC30
Clinique Line Smoothing concealer in 02 Light
Kiko False Lashes Concentrate Building Base mascara
L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara
Sleek Makeup Face Form in Medium for eyeshadow, contouring, bronzing and highlighting :-D
Mac Honeylove lipstick, one of my July favourites here July Favourites + Mac Dupe!
Maybelline Coffee Craze lipstick, another one of my July favourites - it is a little more sheer and glossy than Honeylove, so I applied it on top of it to give it more of a sheen

[picture of make up products coming soon]

At night I went to the Eiffel Tower.
This was my first time being there at night, and seeing it all lit up against the black sky, under the moonlight.
Honestly, I have no words.
The most breathtaking and magnificent thing I have ever seen in my life.
As I walked out of Trocadero metro station, I will never forget the moment I saw what I saw.
I couldn't walk, I couldn't talk, I couldn't think. I could just stand and stare.
I doubt anything else I will see in my life will ever top that sight.
I don't even know for how long I stood there frozen, just staring.

Tour Eiffel

And as I evetually turned around to walk away, I suddenly heard everybody scream.
I turned back again and :-OOOOO
The Eiffel Tower had just been brought to life by thousands of sparkling lights like a Christmas tree.
The regular night lighting had been switched off and there were only the sparkling lights.

I learned this happens every night for 5 minutes every hour, on the hour.
I had no idea, I was so lucky to be there in that moment. We can say - the right person in the right place at the right hour!! :)

I recorded a video of it to share with you guys :)
I can't upload it on here but it's on my Instagram, so if you haven't seen it yet please go to @mjintheskywithglitter !

And now the surprise I promised you ^_^

My girl @bali_wanderlust (Instagram name) has posted my interview on her blog, featuring me as her #TOTD (Traveler Of The Day), her new project!!
She's amazing and I am a long time follower of her Instagram and blog, I was so touched when she asked me if she could feature me <3

This picture below belongs to the interview, it's me in Paris when I was 3 years old and last month :)

Thank you friends for having now shared this day with me by reading my post <3
I hope you are having a beautiful August, I hug you all

ORANGE SUNSET IN ATHENS OOTD & MOTD

Hello beautiful friends,
today I have a bright hot summer look to share with you!!

Top from Mango
Skirt from Zara
Bag from H&MH&M UK - H&M USA - H&M France - H&M Deutschland - H&M Italia - H&M Danmark - H&M Nederland -H&M Sverige - H&M Россия - H&M España - H&M Ελλάδα - H&M Canada - H&M Australia
Rings from H&M

This outfit took me from the morning into the night, all through the sunset.

And to enjoy the sunset at it most beautiful in Athens - and take pictures to share with you guys on Instagam @mjintheskywithglitter of course!! ^_^ -, I went to A for Athens cocktail bar.
It is a very trendy bar on the rooftop of A for Athens hotel, above Monastiraki Square, just opposite to the Acropolis.
And being there sipping on a "Cappuccino Freddo" or a cocktail, while the sun goes down and turns the Acropolis and the Parthenon pink, and then peach, and then orange, is hands down the most beautiful thing in Athens after the Parthenon itself.
You can see more on their website A for Athens

And several people offered to help and take a picture of me, but while I appeared to politely decline, I was in fact thinking like - Oh you don't even understand, you never heard of selfies or what :-/

Now if you noticed a difference in my lip make up from morning to sunset, yes something changed during the day!!
I started out wearing my Kiko Breezy Shine lipgloss in 03 Geranium, from their Sportproof Active Collection.
I honestly have no idea if it's sportproof because I wouldn't play a sport to save my life, but I can say for sure that it's the most gorgeous bright true orange, with gold shimmer.
For being a lipgloss, its pigmentation is extraordinary, and as always with Kiko lipglosses, I love its texture and how it feels on the lips.
It is longlasting and has a delicate mint flavour.

But after visiting the Flormar store in Monastiraki Square, I was quick to bag their new Twist Up Lipstick in 12 Orange!!
Can you see how pigmented that is?? That's more like wall paint than make up!!
And sooo creamy like butter, what an amazing formula, I'm already considering getting a couple more shades!!

So yeah, before walking into A for Athens I touched up my make up and applied Flormar Orange, with Kiko Geranium on top for that extra vinyl shine ^_^

My sunglasses are from H&M.

Girls I hope you enjoyed this post!

JUNE FAVOURITES + MAC DUPE!

My June favourites

My beautiful and super sweet friend Annika asked me on her Instagram @annipr13 (her blog is HoSt - Home of Style) to show her my favourite make up products for the month of June, so I am now I am very excited to be writing my first monthly favourites post!!
Thank you so much for getting me started Annika!! ^_^

I won't include my all time favourite products that I've been using every day for months/years and that you always see in all my make up looks.
These will be products that I have tried for the first time, or re-discovered, and absolutely LOVED during the past month.

Mac Delphic Extra Dimension bronzer, from the new Alluring Aquatic collection - a beautiful bronzer (in an even more beautiful packaging!!!), it looks a little dark in the pan but its satin finish will make it appear a little more sheer on the skin.
To see what else I got from the Alluring Aquatic collection please go to Mac Alluring Aquatic collection

Mac Rio Mineralize Skinfinish* - I sweep my brush in the pink part, and it gives my cheekbones the most incredible frosty pink almost wet looking sheen.

Bourjois Effet 3D gloss in 03 Brun Rosé Academic - I have a few glosses from this line and their thick and volumizing while soft and creamy texture is probably my top favourite for lipglosses.
This mauve shade with silver flecks is the most flattering your-lips-but-better game.
I also chose this as my Favourite Lipgloss in my Lip Product Addict Tag!! Lip Product Addict Tag

Bourjois Effet 3D 03 Brun Rosé Academic

L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara - you know I never wear mascara without my white base coat, but to test this for the first time I applied it without the base.
As I built it up I couldn't believe my eyes, even without a base this mascara is truly SOOO volumizing, while giving real manga-like definition to your lashes.
That first time I tried it I then went out to dinner with my best friend and no joke, after saying hello the first thing she said to me was "What mascara are you wearing??? Your lashes look amazing!!" :-O Seriously.
I'm not sure I like the flexible brush because I believe it gives you less control on it, but when the final result is what it is then may the brush do whatever it wants to do haha :-D

Essie Bikini So Teeny - this month I've really been into icy blue nail polish shades, and this perfect light cornflower blue with silver flecks is my favourite.
Other nail polish in the same colour category that I love are Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Huckleburry and L'Oreal Colour Riche in Ocean Porcelaine.

Mac Myth lipstick - the first time I tried Myth a couple of years ago I found it gave my lips a very unflattering concealer effect, so I was like - NO.
So I'm very happy I finally gave it another try, because I realized I can correct that colour issue by lining my lips with a slightly darker lip pencil to give it more dimension.
My lip pencil of choice to do this trick is Flormar Waterproof Lipliner no. 201.

And now I have a dupe for you!
I searched my collection for a dupe for Myth, and I found that H&M new Matte Lipstick in Bardot is very comparable.
Its texture is not as smooth as Myth, but a smoother payment transaction (aka its price being a fraction of Myth hahaha!!!) will surely make up for it.

L: Mac Myth - R: H&M Bardot

Girls I hope you enjoyed my June favourites!!
What are yours??
Please link your blogpost in a comment or tag me in your Instagram pictures @mjintheskywithglitter ^_^

Thank you again Annika for tagging me, lots of love to you and to all of you reading too!!

MY PARISIAN WHITE OOTD + 60S HAIRSTYLE

My Parisian White OOTD

Bonjour ladies!! ^_^
I would like to share with you the outfit I wore in Paris!

White satin camisole from H&M: H&M UK - H&M USA - H&M France - H&M Danmark - H&M Sverige
White jean jacket from Versace Classic
Maxi skirt with zebra pattern from H&M
Pink powder handbag with chain strap from H&M
Necklace with heart shaped pendant from Bershka

My Parisian White OOTD
And when I posted this picture from the Eiffel Tower on my Instagram @mjintheskywithglitter I received so many compliments on my hairstyle!! :-O

In particular my sweet friend Annika @annipr13 said it reminded her of Brigitte Bardot, which as I already said before is my all time beauty icon, so I'll show you how I created my 60s inspired hairstyle :-)

Claire's 3 pack Bumpits Hair Volumizing Leave-In Inserts

This is a plastic hair tool from Claire's Accessories (3-Pack Bumpits Hair Volumizing Leave-In Inserts).
I got mine on sale last summer, if you can't find it anymore this is the most similar tool I could find that's currently in store Blonde Quiff Kit and Brunette Quiff Kit

It is SO easy to use.
  • You take the front portion of your hair and flip it over in front of your face
  • Place the tool at the root of the parted section. It has all those little "teeth" that will grip to your hair, so once you place it it won't move anymore
  • Flip the parted hair back covering the tool, and pin the hair with 2-3 bobby pins. If you make a ponytail you won't need the pins because the elastic band of the ponytail will be enough to keep everything in place.
This is it, literally 2 minutes!!

Please let me know if you give it a try!! :-)))
If you want to see what I wore in London please check out My Boho Glam OOTD wearing Gisele's dress :-)

Enjoy your summer day ladies, au revoir ^_^

MY BOHO GLAM OOTD WEARING GISELE'S DRESS

Hello girls!
I am SO overjoyed I could get my hands on this dress by H&M, that this inspired me to write my FIRST fashion post!!!! :)))

I am sure you have seen it before, this is one of the dresses Gisele Bundchen wears in the current H&M Spring/Summer campaign.

It doesn't have a name - on the H&M website it is simply called Chiffon Dress, same as 20 other dresses :-/ - but calling it "Gisele's dress" and saying "I am wearing Gisele's dress" sounds cool enough for me to overlook the lack of more specific references haha :-D

It has all of my favourite colours!
It has an elasticized band at the waist and the skirt has a wrapover front.
Two open sections in the back and the different lengths - below the knee in the front, mid-calf in the back - give it even more of an edge.

I wore it with a blue jean jacket - also from H&M's current collection -, and a black bag with a chain strap - from H&M's Summer collection last year.

The heels are Kathryn sandals from Aldo - from last year.

I accessorized my outfit with my favourite earrings, gold with turquoise drops <3 - from H&M Summer 2012, but many simlar alternatives are currently in store!!

Below you can see me wear the same outfit with a hoodie by Abercrombie&Fitch instead of the denim jacket, just because that day I was in London and the temperature was a little colder than I expected ^_^

Dress: H&M USA - H&M UK - H&M Deutschland - H&M Danmark - H&M Sverige
Denim jacket: H&M USA - H&M UK - H&M France - H&M Deutschland - H&M Italia - H&M Danmark - H&M Sverige - H&M België - H&M Россия
Sorry guys I searched other countries too but I couldn't find these items on the local website :-(

I hope you enjoyed my first #OutfitOfTheDay blogpost!! :-)
And if you got this dress too, please show me how you wear it!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog <3
If you want to see what I wore in Paris and how I styled my hair please check out My Parisian White OOTD + 60s Hairstyle :-)

NEON GLAM make up look

PRODUCTS USED

L'Oreal Lumi Magique foundation in W3/D3 Gold Linen applied with my Real Techniques stippling brush

Mac Pro Longwear concealer in NC30 on my face where I needed extra coverage

Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer in 02 Light on my undereye area

Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen in 001 to brighten up even more the inner corner of my eyes and my inner undereye area.
It is basically the same product as YSL Touche Eclat, only I find it a little more pigmented. I still wouldn’t use it as a concealer on its own

Mac For Effect paintpot, a beautiful BEAUTIFUL glittery dark grey. In the pot the microglitters look mostly green and fuchsia, once applied on the eye it looks more like a tradional white/silvery glitter

Kiko Colour Sphere Eyeshadow 42, a satin black, pigmented enough to make my eyes as black as I wanted them to be, while still letting all the glitter from Mac For Effect Paintpot glisten through

Kiko Eyeshadow 121, a light cold taupe as a transition colour to blend the black into my skin

Pupa True Kohl eyepencil 01 (black)

Helena Rubinstein Spider Eyes mascara base

Bourjois Volume Glamour Ultra Black mascara

Collection (formerly Collection 2000) Eyebrow Definer in 3 Blonde, a very ashy almost olive-y shade, I love it! This is my favourite eyebrow pencil both because of its colour - I HATE red toned eyebrow pencils -, and because it is creamy and pigmented and has a very nice and smooth application, but at the same time it is very longlasting

Kiko Eyebrow Designer brow gel, a clear brow gel

Catrice Precision Lip Liner in 040 Berry & Sally, a shade in between berry and burgundy

YSL Rouge Volupté lipstick in 22, a very creamy and luxurious burgundy shade

Kiko 01 Mat Tan, a dark matte bronzer

Mac Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish, my favourite powder highlighter

And in this look there’s a special guest that can’t not be mentioned: my beautiful H&M necklace!

It is a wide triangular dark silver chain covered in big blue gemstones and smaller crystal, silver and black beads.

I bought it last February. I usually have love at first sight with everything I buy, but with this necklace it was even more than love at first sight. It was more a case of this-will-be-one-of-the-most-beautiful-things-I-will-ever-own at first sight! :-D

This is the picture I took with Instagram right after buying it :-D

This same necklace was later made with pearls on a golden chain, and turquoises also on a gold chain. I got the one with turquoises :-)

Thank you for taking the time to read :-)

TURQUOISE STARDUST make up look

Mac Reflects Turquatic

PRODUCTS USED

L'Oreal Lumi Magique (True Match Lumi) foundation in W3/D3 Gold Linen - my favourite foundation, applied with my Real Techniques stippling brush

Mac Pro Longwear concealer in NC30 - my favourite concealer for my face where I need some extra coverage

Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer in 02 Light on my undereye area  - I wasn't going for a particularly contoured look, since it was all about the eyes so dramatic and blindingly bright, so I picked a concealer that was closer to my natural skintone, while still being a little lighter - more pink-toned as opposed to white-toned

Helena Rubinstein Spider Eyes mascara base

Dior Diorshow Black Out mascara

Mac Reflects Turquatic glitter - I mean, how do you even begin to describe this!

*Mac website and glitter packagings state "Glitter is not eye safe and is not recommended for use on this area of the face", because some glitter particles might fall into the eyes and hurt them.
So if you apply glitter on your eyes, please just be careful :-)

Duo Adhesive lash glue - the most popular glue in the make up world

Kiko Colour Sphere eyeshadow 42 - it is a satin carbon black baked eyeshadow. I love love LOVE this line of Kiko eyeshadows. I own most of their shades, and many of them are my favourite eyeshadows of all time <3
I used this eyeshadow in the outer corner. I wanted the glitter to first blend into something dark but still luminous, before blending the whole thing into a matte shadow

Kiko eyeshadow 175 - a very dark cool brown, a greyish brown as opposed to a chocolate brown.
It has a slight sheen to it in the pan, but it looks flat matte on the eye. I used it to blend the crease and the lower lashline

Pupa True Kohl eyepencil 01 (black)

H&M Bronzing Powder in Gorgeous Tan - it was so inexpensive and the colour looked so perfect - matte and non orange - that I decided to give it a try.
It looks beautiful on the face but it is very powdery, so I would not recommend it for countouring or sculpting work

Estee Lauder lip pencil in Spice - a dark browny pink that I used very lightly

Sephora Gloss Miroir lipgloss in 18 Rusted Rose - the name really tells it like it is, I have several glosses from this range and they all look like glass on your lips

I hope you enjoyed, thanks for coming to have a look :-)

Stay BLUEtiful ;-)
Love
MJ
